You can watch Welcome to Gaza on Friday 11 July, 7:30pm, and Saturday 12 July, 1pm.

Dancing, genies, animals, mother-in-laws and ghosts. Messages – phone calls, zoom calls, voice notes – reporting a nightmare of bombed hospitals and schools, children lying like rubble in the collapsing streets.

Performed by some of their original creators, and directed by award-winning playwright Peter Oswald, 19 plays by children from Gaza and the West Bank, written pre-October 7th 2023 are woven into a continuous 90-minute play, continually interrupted by messages from the genocide.

Tickets are available on the Totnes Pulse website https://www.totnespulse.co.uk/totnesfringe/

An Important Event outside the Festival on morning of 12 July

A gathering in Market Square, Totnes, Saturday 12 July 10-11 am will take place to support families and individuals in Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine.

Placards will make clear support for Palestine and appeals for action to stop the relentless war on Palestinians and end UKs ongoing military aid supplied to the Israeli government.

Organisers announced: While nothing is guaranteed, we believe that this wording (of posters) will not likely to be found in breach of any law.”

UK government passed a law this month declaring a non-violent group campaiging for an end to the horror in Palestine as a ‘terrorist organisation.’

May all beings explore ways to celebrate
May all beings explore ways to show compassion
May all beings live in harmony.
