The US and NATO’s reaction to 9/11 shows the actions of the suicide bombers on Twin Towers landed in the reactive mind of former President George Bush, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and other leaders and governments.
Our governments simply continue these same painful policies, year after year, which bring about the same painful outcome for citizens. Some pay the highest price. We saw that on Westminster Bridge and outside Houses of Parliament this week.
Instead of blaming others, we need to campaign to change violent policies and violent outcomes.
We need wise leadership – not leaders who continue the same old actions and the same painful consequences.
The Arab nations and people in the West continue to experience a bitter and painful fruit. We all deserve better.
Our government keeps telling us they are doing everything to protect us.
The politicians keep telling us to carry on as normal.
The British government certainly carries on as normal. That’s the problem. The real problem.
Our leaders have let us all down.
