Yearning for Change. A Poem. To evoke a quest

The poem wishes readers to evoke a deep quest for renewal amid modern disquiet. Saturn return points to authentic coming-of-age. Symbols of grace, flamingos mirror a stepping stone. Let us go beyond fleeting harmony and cycles of aloneness and togetherness.

YEARNING FOR CHANGE

Pink flamingoes
ballet on the lake
of wondrous soul,
symbols of grace
in the hands of
togetherness.

Silence of cello
plays Saturn return –
so we can explore
push and pulling of
brief co-existence
wish for renewal
in this worried world.

Please speak to me
no void to fill
with these benches
cushions and mats
to confirm a
stretch to heaven

Step in, step out
inhale goes deep
exhale goes far
yes, it now seems
likely as the cat
stretches across
earth’s intimacy.

Let’s cycle towards
sunrise to tiptoe
with flamingos
and then to fly
to abide in the
beyond, not in reach
never out of reach,
never here, nor there.

Oh, the wonder of it all.
