With the encouragement of friends, I started this blog in May of 2007 with a view to putting up a blog item every week on matters that I believe might be of interest to those who check the blog. There are now more than 100 items on the blog.
I thought it would be worthwhile to write the weekly blog if around 50 – 100 people a month check the blog as some items might be of real and practical interest for readers. Usually around once a month, I update the blog with four items.
I checked a few weeks ago for the first time the number of people logging onto this blog. I was pleasantly surprised to see from the web statistics that approximately 3300 people look at the blog monthly.

As many of you will know, web statistics are incredible. They can offer a breakdown of information about viewers – country, what feature on the website had most appeal, how often and so on. These statistics do not interest me too much but it is supportive to know there is interest out there.
I would like to thank you all for taking the time to look at one or two of the blog items. You encourage me to keep on writing
