Am I too Hard on Myself? An edited Zoom talk to given to MTTC. 22.11.2021

A transcribed, edited and adapted Zoom talk to Mindfulness Teacher Training Course. 50 mins. 22.11.2021. I invited a suggestion for the theme for the talk for the MTTC. One of the trainee teachers, Nshorna, said she felt this topic would generate interest for the participants.

Am I too hard on myself? Practice and the exploration of experience includes vigilance of the frequency of use of this single word I. The I does not emerge out of the being unaccompanied. That means the I requires a variety of conditions for it to arise. Continue reading

I received an email from a person who has met a man with unresolved alcohol issues.  She asked me what approach to take towards this person and his situation. This is a common situation.

Three generations of mothers of the same family died within three months. Nshorna (my daughter) has made an appeal on behalf of the three children. Do support.

Rachel, one of Nshorna’s closest friends, died very unexpectedly this week after suffering a huge heart attack. She was 42.
