We need a 21st Century Economics. Value of Buddhist Economics. Addiction to Economic Growth of Left, Right and Centre belong to 19th – 20th Century

I spent many hours researching online, read articles and books looking for a new economics suitable for application for the 21st century. Current economics as taught to students of economics in universities seems woefully out of touch with the global crisis.

Through extensive reading, taking notes and much reflection, I drew upon the insights of various economists world-wide, who recognise the urgent need for change. …

On 1 April 2022, Nshorna formally launches The Wise Lotus Centre (TWLC) in Letchworth Garden City, 40 minutes on the train, north of London. The Centre is a five minute walk from the railway station.

She has created the Centre which will offer classes, courses and workshops during the day, evenings and weekends. The programme includes mindfulness, meditation, yoga, holistic therapies, self-care, public talks, classes for families, children and businesses.

On 12 and 13 March, Nshorna gave an open day with talks and classes after completing major renovation work to make the shop suitable as a centre.

Nshorna sells a range of wellbeing items and beautiful gift sets on Etsy and in her shop: www.thelittleshopofmindfulness.com.
Every package is plastic-free as much as possible, and includes a mindfulness practise leaflet.

Classes, courses and workshops for both adults, children and businesses to support physical and emotional health.

Centre to rely upon donations from workshop leaders

Making a bold risk, Nshorna offers the space in her centre to the teachers, therapists, facilitators and workshop leaders on a donation basis. (Dana in the Buddhist tradition).
It is for a trial period.
To those leading the sessions, Nshorna wrote in part of her letter:
The Wise Lotus Centre offers space for classes and courses on a donation basis.
We appreciate this is a new concept for many.
This means we do not set a fixed fee as in the payment-for-services model.
We believe our approach will cultivate trust, develop wellbeing and benefit the
The principle of donation can continue if teachers support this model of
running a centre.
Generosity comes from the heart. Your donations will encourage a wide range of
people in age and income to benefit from your classes and courses.

The Centre welcomes donations to help ensure the Centre proves to be financially viable. Much of the proceeds from the 90-Day Mindfulness Challenge will help support the running of the Centre.

I have received many kind words from readers worldwide after they read the Memoir. The book offers an exploration of experiences, insights and can provide inspiration for others to engage in a lifelong interest in life on Earth.
The book and Kindle version with photos is available on Amazon books in many countries.
The Memoir of 10 years on the road includes a hippy life, mind-altering drugs, romantic encounters and brushes with death. The book covers travels through 20 countries, the discipline of a strict Vipassana monastery in Thailand, nine months in a cave and meetings with leading spiritual teachers in Thailand and India.
I met and talked with some of the finest spiritual/Buddhist/Hindu teachers in Thailand and India.
Besides the letters, I also drew upon 30 diaries and notebooks, plus my memory of events from 1967 to 1977.
The freedom to explore confirms an infinite potential for discovery.

Clear Seeing includes the past, present and future. Teachings will include the value and the limits of the here and now. Clear seeing includes dependent arising conditions for all three fields, so we do not become dependent on the present moment to realise the timeless. A timeless, limitless liberation embraces all three fields of time.
These online sessions run in the mornings from Monday to Friday
They offer an opportunity for the Sangha to meditate regularly with a community of like-minded Dharma practitioners.

6.    DONATIONS for Christopher

Different Ways to offer donations(dana) to support Christopher
•    You can make donations via your PAYPAL, STRIPE or Credit/Debit Card
•    You do not need a PAYPAL account.

Inspired by his years as a Buddhist monk (1970-1976) Christopher depends upon donations rather than charge for teachings. Christopher only teaches in centres where he considers the daily rate affordable.
You can also make a bank transfer to my bank account in Devon, England. I will email you my bank details.
Thank you for your kind support.

Ulla and I are co-teachers in the Mindfulness Teacher Training Course (MTTC).

Nshorna Titmuss learned from her father about the importance of mindfulness since childhood. She started her career as a midwife in the late 90’s. Working for the NHS, major charities and social services, she has spent more than 20 years supporting vulnerable families. A skilled practitioner, manager and director, she is the founder of three Mindfulness organisations and has dedicated her career to supporting the wellbeing of others.

Christopher Titmuss, Britain’s senior mindfulness teacher, teaches mindfulness, insight meditation and wise action. A former Buddhist monk in Thailand and India, he is the author of Mindfulness in Everyday Life, The Mindfulness Manual, the Spiritual Roots of Mindfulness and other books. Poet, social critic and blogger, he has lived since 1982 in Totnes, Devon, England. www.christophertitmuss.net

David Hewson, a graphic designer, skilfully put together the presentation of the Mindfulness Challenge. We appreciated his easy-to-follow and unified Course. http://www.dhdigitalmedia.co.uk/ david@dhdigitalmedia.co.uk

Christopher and Nshorna are a father and daughter team.

Teachers, managers, directors of centres, organisers and staff connected with our programmes, residential and Zoom, offer a service. This principle applies before the programme we offer, during the event and after. A small team of people often give support to a large group. If you feel concern on any matter with any of our responses to you, before, during or after an event, please email us. Where and when? What was written? What was said? What happened? A manager or teacher will address your concern and get back to you or you can contact the centre.
