Radical Political, Social and Personal Actions to Stop the Climate Crisis

Massive outpouring of carbon dioxide causes climate change, especially due to fossil fuels for consumerism and destruction of rainforests for logging, beef and palm oil for addictive processed food,

In Alphabetical Order:

  1. Campaign to end multi-nationals and capitalism, the most destructive ideological ever system devised.
  2. Develop a new educational system, which gives priority to supporting life on Earth.
  3. Develop diversity in crops and support diversity of species
  4. Develop ethics of conservation rather than consumerism.
  5. Dramatic cuts in use of fossil fuels. Coal contains more carbon than any other fuel.
  6. End exploitation of workers and environments
  7. End holiday and indulgent business flights, cruise liners and wasteful luxuries
  8. End petrol/diesel transport and change to electric vehicles
  9. End wars and production of armaments
  10. Apply energy conservation measures, day and night, at home, streets, factories and offices.
  11. Develop inner change, spiritual values, creative imagination and wise application of religion.
  12. Insulation of buildings, factories and homes
  13. Expand organic farming and end chemical fertilisers, pesticides and GM crops
  14. Public transport to expand and private transport to be reduced.
  15. Redistribution of wealth to support poor and reduce carbon footprint of the rich.
  16. Stop destruction of rainforests used for farm animals and single crops
  17. Switch to recycling as a primary form of right livelihood
  18. Switch to vegan diet and away consumption of animals, milk, fat, sugar and salt.
  19. Switch to wind turbine, solar panels, wave and tidal energy
  20. Training young women to make decisions about pregnancy to curb population explosion.

Hello Christopher. I agree with all your above points but we have to also convince the Government……..whatever Government emerges from the present chaos. Time is running out so fast that we have no choice but to rebel with peaceful civil disobedience and force the Government to listen and negotiate with us in order to bring about change. At the moment, nothing is happening. Absolutely nothing. We are a decade away from disaster. For that reason I recommend Extinction Rebellion. I’ve been out on the streets with them and will continue to do so. By the way, if you need further inspiration please have a look at Roger Hallam’s you tube video in which he addresses Amnesty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htvxc0Wg7sA&t=171s With all good wishes, Denise.
