Does Donald Trump need therapy? Part One of Three. What Trump has said.

Does Donald Trump need therapy?

This analysis of the mind set of Donald Trump falls into three parts. The first part takes direct quotes from Donald’s Trumps campaign speeches and press interviews that signal that the Republican candidate has mental health issues.

The second part addresses the psychological dynamics. This includes the outer person, (the public figure) and the inner self with all of its consequences for Donald Trump, as well as upon those who follow him or react against him.

The  third part deals with dangers and consequences for such a troubled mind with an appeal for those close to Donald Trump to give him support.

Part One

The Concerns

Donald Trump campaigns throughout the USA to become the next President of the United States.

Is Donald Trump, the New York billionaire with no direct experience of democratic institutions and political life, fit to sit in the White House?

Would Donald Trump’s finger on the nuclear weapons button contribute to American citizens feeling safe and secure if he became the President?

Is Donald Trump psychologically fit to be Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces?

Does Donald Trump need therapy to address what appears to be emotional problems and mental health issues?

Does some of the content in the public statements of Donald Trump reveal a degree of disorder in the personality?

With alarming regularity, Trump launches into an attack upon an individual or whole sections of people. It is disturbing to hear his public utterances, his private comments and read his one liners on Twitter.

On himself

“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”

“It’s hard for me to turn down money because that’s what I’ve done in my whole life. I grab and grab and grab. You know, I get greedy. I want money, money. I’ll tell you what we’re going to do, right? We get greedy, right? Now we’re going to get greedy for the United States. We’re going to grab and grab and grab.

“I’m a really smart guy.”

“I feel a lot of people listen to what I have to say.”

“I know more about ISIS than the generals do. Believe me.”

“Sorry losers and haters, but my IQ is one of the highest, and you all know it. Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure, it’s not your fault.”

“All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”

“The beauty of me is that I’m very rich.”

“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

“I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I’m more honest and my women are more beautiful.”

“My fingers are long and beautiful, as, it has been well documented, are various other parts of my body.”

“Look at those hands, are they small hands? And, [Republican presidential rival Marco Rubio] referred to my hands: ‘If they’re small, something else must be small.’ I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee.”

On The Media

Pointing to a group of reporters: “These people back here are the worst. They are so dishonest. 70 to 75 percent are absolutely dishonest. Absolute scum. Remember that. Scum. Scum. Totally dishonest people.”

“So many people have told me that I should host Meet the Press and replace the moron who is on now.

TV journalist, Megyn Kelly asked Trump to explain why he called women ‘dogs’ and ‘fat pigs.’ Trump said later: “I have no respect for her as a journalist… “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes.  “Blood coming out of her wherever.”

During a rally, Trump flapped his arms appearing to ridicule a reporter, who suffers from a congenital joint condition that affects the movement in his arms,”

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”

On Other Politicians

“They (the Republican Party) changed the rules a number of months ago. You know why they changed the rules? Because they saw how I was doing and they didn’t like it.”

Ben Carson (a retired doctor and Republican candidate) “He’s got a pathological temper. That’s a big problem because you don’t cure that…As an example: child molesting. You don’t cure these people. You don’t cure a child molester. There’s no cure for it. Pathological.”

“Lyin’ Ted Cruz (Republican rival) just used a picture of Melania from a shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife.”

“If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband, what makes her think she can satisfy America?

“An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud”

On Republican candidate, Ted Cruz. “This guy is sick. There’s something wrong with this guy.”

John Cain flew 23 missions over Vietnam before being shot down and held as a prisoner of war. “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Trump said the Cruz campaign tried to buy delegates with promises of rewards, but Trump offered no evidence.

“I would’ve won the race against Obama. He would’ve been easy.”

“So many people have told me that I should host Meet the Press and replace the moron who is on now.”

On those with a different view at his rallies

Pointing to a protestor, Trump told people at a rally “I would like to punch him in the face”

Trump claimed the protester was “nasty as hell”

Trump supporters punched a protestor, who started shouting “Black Lives Matter!” as Trump started to speak. When asked about the incident, Trump responded in a Fox News interview with the remark: “Maybe he should have been roughed up.”

He labelled those who protest against his policies as “bad Americans.”

On different people in society

“I have a great relationship with the blacks.”

I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist.”

“Ariana Huffington (founder of Huffington Post) is unattractive, both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man – he made a good decision.”

On his policies

Trump called for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the USA.

Trump promised to evict some 11.3m illegal workers on a two-year timetable – “so fast that your head will spin.”

On torture, Donald Trump said he would “bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding”, or simulated drowning, “We have to beat the savages.”

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.”

“Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,”

“How much money did Barack Obama waste today on crony green energy projects?”

“I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

“It’s freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming.”

He said the United States will have “absolutely no choice” but to close down some mosques where “some bad things are happening.”

Trump suggested the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in Paris was a result of France’s ‘strict’ gun laws.

“The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”

“An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud”

“How many bald eagles did wind turbines kill today? They are an environmental & aesthetic disaster.”

This information about Trump is well-known by any reasonably-informed person.
      – Unfortunately, what is most visible is your encouraging people not to vote for Hillary, which as I and others have pointed out, only gives points to Trump.
Progressives at least have a chance to influence Hillary.
A Trump presidency would nullify any such movements, to put it mildly.
He is a fascist- Clinton is a saint compared to Trump. However flawed she is, there is a possibility to influence government policies with her. Not so with Trump.
      – We request you change your posting to not vote for Hillary; at this critical juncture, such statements are counterproductive.
