ACTION FOR CHANGE IN A WORLD BURNING UP
DISRUPT THE SYSTEM. CHANGE THE LIFESTYLE
Contact: Jen email:
This evening workshop will consist of a Short Talk and Questions and Answers.
Small Groups will form to share concerns and a Summing Up to conclude.
We will explore ways to challenge national, state and local government, demand a change in education to an emphasis on a sustainable way of life and with a critique of the corporate world – fossil fuel industry, farming, fashion and transport. Individuals, families and communities have to walk the talk – major changes in diet, moderation of lifestyle, reduction of use of vehicles, conservation of energy at home/work and dedication to real change as the major priority.
Christopher Titmuss, a senior teacher in the Buddhist tradition, teaches insight meditation and awakening. Poet, social critic and author of numerous books, he writes a weekly blog, which includes spiritual/religious/corporate/political critiques. He has come to Australia to teach most years since 1976. He lives in Totnes, Devon, England. Christopher supports Extinction Rebellion and other radical initiatives to end consumerism and capitalism.
